Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Jubilee is seeking a Director of Development who wants to usher Jubilee Media into the world of film and television! We’re looking for a creative who is excited to take on the challenge of translating our mission to “provoke understanding and create human connection” onto the big screen. Ideal candidates for this role have both experience and an impressive network in the film and TV industry. They are able to spot the untapped potential in the humblest of stories and source or develop new, unscripted projects from agencies, management companies or even Indie creators.

    What You'll Do

    • Develop and manage documentary and unscripted projects for the film and TV slate, continuing to build and shepherd a robust development and production pipeline that aligns with Jubilee’s brand and mission goals.
    • Engage creators and storytellers with compelling voices; helping to expand the roster of Film & TV talent in the documentary space for projects focused on the human experience 
    • Leverage talent, agency, studio, writer, and producer contacts to source projects that align with content strategy
    • Proactively seek opportunities to package projects with meaningful elements to create highly viable projects to take to the marketplace.
    • Provide thoughtful, clear, productive and actionable feedback to creators at each stage of development and production.
    • Work with network partners to develop and oversee development and production of projects, while always keeping the creator’s vision in mind. 
    • Track competitive projects and meaningful IP, industry trends and talent deals while maintaining an awareness of the ever-evolving entertainment marketplace. 
    • Understand the digital landscape that Jubilee is most known for to leverage existing IP or the creation of new IP for Film & TV. 
    • Manage relationships with Jubilee’s agency, outside producing partners, internal partner business units, legal counsel, production, post, finance, communication and inclusion
    • Review all rough and final cuts of shows for quality and story integrity
       

    Who You Are
     

    • 5 years of executive-level experience in a hands-on creative capacity at a studio or production company, with experience and/or a strong interest in documentary and docu-format television series and films; television experience specifically is strongly preferred
    • You have a deep network of production professionals and scale up productions internal for Film & TV as well as partner with internal production and post executives when possible -  to ensure productions deliver on schedule and within approved budget when possible.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the creative process from concept through production
    • Someone with a deep understanding of Jubilee’s brand and mission and has the ability to creatively incorporate them into film and TV projects
    • Someone with an effective and concise written and verbal communication skills and diplomatic yet approachable and collaborative working style
