Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs.     BSK is seeking an outstanding Director of Organizational Development and Human Resources who is creative, energetic and impactful. The Director will partner with other executive leaders to achieve significant and sustainable improvement in employee engagement and performance.

    The Director will collaborate with our executive leadership team to provide full-cycle human resources guidance to align our talent management system with corporate business objectives. The Director will influence and lead all talent and staffing processes including recruitment of top talent, leadership development, succession planning, creative total rewards strategies, cultural integration and change management initiatives.

    Salary Range: $97,000-$100,000

    Job Type: ON-SITE

    Expectations:

    Manages HR Compliance – Guides employment and compliance to regulatory concerns regarding employees. Develops policy and ensures appropriate employee issue documentation. Manages the HCM reporting system. Ensures accurate compensation and benefits administration including insurance, 401K, ESOP, review and suggestions, open enrollment and workers’ compensation. Leads and develop HR department staff members.


    Fosters a Truly Engaged Culture and Positive Employee Experience - Help our managers and employees understand the framework and core concepts required to fully secure a culture yielding employee engagement. Promoting strength-based behaviors and positivity, the Director resolves issues collaboratively with HR staff, develops programming that supports staff and is a point of escalation for difficult situations.

    Positions HR as a Trusted Advisor and Strategic Business Partner - Establish the HR function as an instrumental, indispensable and highly effective part of executive leadership. Inform leadership of problems that jeopardize the achievement of company goals. Ensure HR is a value-added resource where talent management is in alignment with the vision of the company and produces a measurable economic value. Assist line managers in understanding, appreciating and valuing how HR can help them achieve their goals and outcomes.

    Activates Effective Organizational Communication - Work in concert with leadership to design and communicate a vision for the company through effective organizational communication programs. This will involve solidifying and branding our culture as a great place to work. Actively pursue outside recognition as such, and articulate our culture for recruiting and to fuel all of our activities with the business community.


    Models, Measures and Evangelizes the Organizational Values – Solidify our culture around our values such that managers, employee and clients operationalize our organizational values in how we hire, develop, manage, promote, and measure ourselves. Institute employee onboarding and training that accelerates new hires sense of belonging and productivity.

    Develops the Next Generation of Leaders – Develop, deploy, and sustain effective coaching and mentoring programs for our next generation of leaders. Establish formal career and leadership development systems and provide resources to our managers with an emphasis on creating a culture where mentoring is a way of life.


    Assists in Leading Business Transformations and Due Diligence – Team with executive managers to lead change management initiatives and drive process improvement based on business and talent insights, with an eye on continuous quality improvement. As the company grows in new markets and geographies, the Director will assist in the due diligence process, and will help ensure a seamless and successful integration.

    Duties:

    • Participate in planning the strategic direction of organization and in developing long-range plans to achieve objectives.
    • Drive change management to ensure a constantly learning and growing organization.
    • Partner with management to ensure that structure, design and staffing of positions and utilization of human resources are effective and consistent with business needs.
    • Develop strong knowledge of the business, services, markets, competitors, etc. Conduct periodic meetings with business unit leaders.
    • Implement policies and procedures to impact business results.
    • Design and execute strategies for recruitment, specifically hard-to-fill positions, and turnover reduction.
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
    • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
    • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
    • Provide guidance and input on workforce planning, succession planning, and professional development. Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
    • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
    • Partner with management on performance issues, creation of Performance Improvement Plans and Corrective Action.
    • Anticipate, identify and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues.
    • Assist in identifying and developing innovative incentive/reward systems which support and drive the company strategy and individual business unit business plans.
    • Ensure clear differentiation of talent in rewards and recognition.



    Job Requirements:


    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years of proven progressive HR experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or other related discipline.
    • Previous leadership experience in a dynamic, growth oriented company.
    • Successful track record as a Human Resources Leader with involvement in organization design and development, change management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee training and development and federal and state employment laws.
    • Ability to work within constraints and to challenge the status quo. Comfortable with ambiguity and taking part in complex strategy discussions.
    • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization, including the senior executive team. Experience leading transformation initiatives.
    • Strong presentation skills and ability to present ideas and training programs to all levels in the organization.
    • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and facilitation skills.
    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Able to be proactive, prioritize work and handle multiple assignments in a timely manner.
    • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
    • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources organizations

    Travel Requirements:

    • Travel to BSK locations including occasional overnight trips
