Additionally, Organizational Development Consultant implements and reports on the effectiveness of leadership development, team development, and organizational communication programs and practices. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Organizational Development Consultant work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Adventures in Development hosts a team of specialists serving over 200 children and their families in Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, and Santa Clara County. We are a vendor for the San Andreas Regional Center Early Start program and we support clients with developmental delays, developmental disabilities, and certain medical conditions. We pride ourselves on being a neurodiversity-affirming agency and taking a whole-child approach in our practice.

    We are seeking a dedicated individual interested in beginning or continuing a career in Early Intervention. Early Intervention specialists work with children birth to 3 years old who need support in a number of developmental areas, such as self-care, cognitive development, motor development, communication, and behavior. Each child is different, and the Early Intervention specialist is responsible for utilizing research, resources, and compassion to support the client on their unique path. The ideal candidate is flexible, proactive, communicative, and energetic.

    Duties:

    -Attend direct sessions in the client's natural environment

    -Utilize the client's environment and the items at-hand to guide meaningful sessions

    -Support fellow specialists with session coverage and co-teaching

    -Drive to multiple locations each day

    -Maintain thorough session records for each client

    -Attend IFSP meetings and other necessary client meetings

    -Attend weekly team meetings

    -Perform relevant administrative tasks

    -Do research as needed

    -Other duties related to client services and overall team outcomes

    Qualifications:

    - Bachelor's degree in special education, psychology, counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred OR 5 years of experience with young children in a related field

    -Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs

    -Computer literacy and familiarity with Google Drive

    -Effective research skills and ability to determine quality sources

    -Clear, effective writing with few grammar and spelling errors

    -Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages, including children and adults

    -Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

    -Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others

    -Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
