POSITION: Community Media Lead

REPORT: Marketing Director

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

The Community Media Lead supports the work of the Marketing Department and entire ecosystem by ensuring information and opportunities are shared with community stakeholders in a timely, relevant, and inspiring manner.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Community Media Lead is responsible for ensuring that community stakeholders -- including staff, board members, tribal council, and the general public – receive regular and clear communication regarding the work and impact of our ecosystem.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Facilitates the flow of information from teams and team leaders to community stakeholders.
• Gathers data, updates, and stories from teams across the ecosystem and compiles them into community facing outreach including reports, newsletters, press conferences, and other forms of outreach.
• Coordinates the planning for entities to participate in existing community events and supports them in planning their own events.
• Works with teams across the ecosystem on grassroots promotion of events, opportunities, and milestones
• Collaborates with leaders of other teams within the ecosystem on regular or special projects that benefit the local community.
• Ensures that brand identity and messaging is relevant and inspiring to community stakeholders.
• Supports team members in building their storytelling capacity in a way that resonates with the community.
• Plans and produces content through a variety of digital and printed media focused on community engagement.
• Social Media Management and scheduling
• Maintains merch store and merchandise.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Team-oriented leadership ability. Able to meet deadlines while performing under pressure. Must possess critical thinking for insight and business acumen. Possess a commitment to excellence, integrity, and ethical conduct. Ability to communicate with various business professionals, Rosebud Sioux Tribe members, and others.

COMPENSATION:

Base wage $19.25 per hour dependent on education, qualifications, experience, and performance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.25 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
