Organizational Development Consultant implements all aspects of organizational development. Develops training programs, facilitates change management initiatives, and reviews current development programs to ensure linkage to company goals. Being an Organizational Development Consultant builds human capital through employee development programs. Measures employee performance to gauge the success of programs and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Consultant implements and reports on the effectiveness of leadership development, team development, and organizational communication programs and practices. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Organizational Development Consultant work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Summary
Responsible to develop and manage talent development and culture management initiatives aimed at retention and professional growth of Association employees. Additionally, this position is responsible to oversee programs related to training and development, leadership/employee development, succession planning, employee communications specific to Human Resources, strategic staffing, culture initiatives, organizational development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) / environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting and initiatives.

Work Environment
Work is performed in a standard office environment. Some travel to remote sites may be required. This position requires some time outside of typical working hours and travel to meetings outside the State.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (business administration, economics, industrial relations) required. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification, or willingness and ability to obtain within two (2) years, preferred. Organizational Development certificate also preferred.
Experience
Five (5) years of experience in Organizational Development required. Experience must include designing and managing and implementing leadership training, succession planning, organizational development, DEI/ESG, and talent development programs for a similarity complex organization. Experience working in a union environment preferred.
Substitution
Additional experience in Organizational Development may substitute for the education requirement. Two years of experience is equivalent to one year of formal education.
