Location : Kansas City, Kansas or East Syracuse, NY

Manage the order fulfillment process and administer sales order entries, order / invoice price resolution, CBOT market record and application of forward contracts for assigned commodity merchandiser(s).

Oversee order tracking and vendor shipments to ensure all purchase orders are processed in accordance with an exceptional customer service standard.

Support and execute contracts for sales of feed commodities to existing DFA Farm Supplies commodities customers as assigned.

Provide necessary support to commodity merchandisers to achieve sales goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Establish a working relationship with vendors and manage a proactive confirmation process for all purchase orders placed
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders and vendor shipments on a daily basis. Provide accurate information to commodity merchandisers in order to allow proper communication with members in the event of a vendor-related shipping delay.

Determine resolutions to mitigate risk

• Communicate with assigned member customers to share promotional offers and garner additional sales opportunities
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all orders to be shipped by planning, coordinating and informing the assigned Commodity Merchandisers and Commodity Sales Manager
• Communicate with vendors in a timely manner to build relationships and obtain current information.
• Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture business, marketing, or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in customer service and / or vendor relations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of company computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
• Knowledge of commodity transportation and logistics
• Knowledge of DFA cooperative model
• Skill in critical thinking, analysis, mathematical calculations, and statistical evaluations
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Able to multi-task and problem solve
• Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Able to work in collaboration effectively and foster good teamwork
