Order Fulfillment Director leads and directs the order fulfillment process. Oversees order entry, administration, and shipping processes. Being an Order Fulfillment Director develops scalable business processes and customer service standards to deliver efficient order processing. Implements order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, maintain customer information, and monitor contracts or agreements for expiration or renewal. Additionally, Order Fulfillment Director establishes inventory monitoring procedures to track and trigger actions that will maintain appropriate levels of products. Partners with stakeholders to identify conditions impacting the fulfillment workflow and to develop effective solutions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Order Fulfillment Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Order Fulfillment Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Our fast-paced, physical roles take place in a variety of areas including merch, make-on-demand, customer returns, Prime Now, and general fulfillment.
You will be selecting, packing, and shipping orders – in some cases, for our super-fast (2-hour or less) delivery service.
Receive and put away inventory
# Load boxes into trucks for shipment
# Ensure product meets quality requirements
# Operate power industrial trucks (PIT) such as a forklift or pallet driver, and work at heights up to 35 feet. Equipment training and certification are provided free of cost.
# Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
# Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
# Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards
What it's like at an Amazon Fulfillment Center
# You'll be working around moving machines – order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts.
# Even with climate controls, temperatures can vary between 60°F and 90°F in some parts of the warehouse; on hot days, temperatures can be over 90°F in the truck yard or inside trailers.
# Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and protective safety footwear are required in select business units.
