Order Clerk, Sr. jobs in Silver Spring, MD
Order Clerk, Sr. receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Utilizes order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, record prices, delivery dates, inventory status, maintain customer information and other data related to each transaction. Being an Order Clerk, Sr. confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk, Sr. may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track and follow up with suppliers by emails or calls, make sure delivery date on each PO reflects the latest status
- Notify internal stakeholders of delivery date changes and answer questions they may have
- Review orders for completeness according to SOP and forward incomplete orders for further processing
- Responsible for updating vendor contact information in SAP
- Organize and file all purchasing documents including but not limited to contracts, vendor price sheets and all other documents
- Analyze and compile order-related statistics, and prepare reports as needed
- Other duties as assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE-
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong English written and verbal communications skills
- Fluent with Mandarin
- Must be customer driven
- Good at Excel, Word and Outlook
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Great team player

Preferred:
- 1-2 years order clerk or customer service experience
- Experience with SAP
