Order Clerk receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Utilizes order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, record prices, delivery dates, inventory status, maintain customer information and other data related to each transaction. Being an Order Clerk confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - The successful candidate should be mechanically inclined, have superior customer service skills, with a friendly, professional demeanor. He/She will be willing to go 'above-and-beyond' the call of duty and demonstrate fastener and tool supply knowledge.
- This position requires excellent attendance, a minimum of 2 years of experience serving customers, have a positive attitude, and above-average computer use, and the candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
This is a first-shift, full-time, non-exempt position located in Statesville, NC. Local candidates are preferred. GREAT HOURS are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Every other Saturday from 8 a.m to 12 p.m..****Pay $14.00 per hour
Additional Requirements:
Requires heavy lifting up to 50lbs. Requires repetitive movement, bending, twisting, walking, and standing. Requires being exact or highly accurate—occasional forklift operation.
This is an entry-level, first shift, full-time non-exempt position.
