Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Direct programmers and analysts to make changes to existing databases and database management systems. Direct others in coding logical and physical database descriptions. Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. Review and approve database development and determine project scope and limitations. Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems. Implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information. Perform other duties as assigned .
Security DBA requirements:
Responsibilities: Security DBA will work for Citizens Distributed IT Security team on the database security compliance tasks. Work on database security BAU task. work with DBA teams (Delivery, support) and Audit teams to review and fix any database compliance/security related issues. Shell/SQL scripting to extract security data from databases for analysis/reporting; Technical analysis of AIX, Linux and Oracle Database vulnerability findings; developing and producing written analysis of the vulnerability findings, when required. Solution development for remediation of the identified vulnerabilities, as needed. Submit/manage change management requests for security related impacts in production environments. Collect evidence confirming vulnerability remediation has been successful, as needed. Communications/Coordination with system specific Information to Audit and compliance teams. Develop and maintain documentation pertaining to Implementation Procedures, Change Control documentation, Design documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc Solution testing, implementation, and/or validation, as needed.
Technical requirement: Security experience with Oracle 11gR1, 11gR2, 12c. Very good understanding of Oracle database security, Database users, Database roles, Database Profiles, System privileges, object privileges, RBAC using Directory groups (Active Directory, Oracle internet directory) Good JAVA programming skills for data collection/management for databases and Directories; Extensive Unix Shell scripting skills (AIX, Linux). Familiar with Symantec CIS vulnerability scan for databases and remediation of any discovered issues; Experience with reviewing, creating and updating technical documentation Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledgeable on the regulatory requirements that impact the business lines that TSA supports (i.e. GLBA, SOX, PCI) financial services experience is a plus

The team currently has 5 DBA's.
The contractor will be involved in building standards, net patterns, granting access, assisting current DBAs with cleanup.
This contractor will be trained to build new items to match current patterns, create logins, following governance & policies.
