Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves Oracle database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Being an Oracle Database Administrator may require a bachelor's degree in a related area or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. NorthShore Resources has a contract to hire position to help our client move their Oracle Database Administration into a DevOps environment. This role creates infrastructure as code pipelines and automation within our client's predefined database architecture. This position works closely with application developers to identify needs and set up appropriate data pipelines to maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the database. The administrator assists data-engineers in the creation of functions and automation that pertain to development, analysis, performance tuning, and modeling of data.
