Oracle Database Administrator jobs in Iowa

As a Database Administrator with Data Intensity, your goal will be to provide consistent, high-quality service and support to our customers. You will be expected to maintain a high level of communication with the customer staff as well as a comprehensive suite of documentation pertaining to all assets in our care.  You will act as a leader of the support provided to the customer as a part of the role of a Database Administrator. 

Together with:

• Provide ownership and leadership  
• Provide technical support as the trusted advisor  
• Manage the technical communication with the customers  
• Define best practices to support assigned customers  
• Maintain records and documentation  

In combination with:

• Good project management skills  
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware and/or BI Technologies is an added advantage 
• Auditing System Architecture  
• Auditing Software Configurations and Release Levels  
• Performing CPU patch analysis.  
• Conducting health checks of customer environments including system health (new file systems, run away processes, free space) and documentation.  
• Producing Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for Applications or Database related issues.  
• Troubleshooting issues, including Service Request Management, Problem Resolution documentation, Proactive Bug Alerts, and Problem Analysis Support.  
• Tuning Oracle Application Environments and databases  
• Applying database patches, including proactive patch research and review, on-demand patching services, and critical Oracle patch updates.  

You are the best candidate if you have:

• 6 years Hands on experience in installation, configuration, administration, Tuning, and troubleshooting Oracle EBS ( 11i/R12 )  
• Skilled in Oracle Database Administration ( 10g, 11g and latest and greatest )  
• Experience with RAC/ASM/Data Guard  
• Exposure to basic unix/linux/windows system administration
