As a Database Administrator Sr within PNC's Oracle Engineering organization, you will be based in Phoenix, AZ, Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.

As a Database Administrator Sr, you will be joining the Oracle Engineering team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to field escalations from other database support teams as well as be on point for project work.

Due to the nature of this position, we are seeking candidates who have extensive experience with Oracle database migrations and upgrades, Oracle Dataguard, RMAN, Recovery Appliance administration, Golden Gate, EUS, TDE, OEM and RHP. Candidates with extensive OEM administrative experience (OEM/OMS upgrade, patching and migration) is a plus.

Job Description

• Designs and implements physical database back-ups, recovery programs, archiving functions and conversion strategies on specific database technologies.
• Manages and maintains data in all production and non-production databases and replication servers.
• Designs and develops logical and physical layers for various databases. leads in handling data testing, reporting, back-ups and restorations.
• Provides technical assistance and mentors staff on developing conceptual and logical database designs and physical databases.
• Utilizes logical models to ensure efficient and reliable database performance.

Problem Solving - Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Producing Results - Ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.

Relational Databases - Knowledge of the principal rules and regulations for relational models and relation operations; ability to design, develop, apply and support database applications or systems that use relational structures.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3 years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
