Inspects lenses for quality, fits and adjusts eyewear, and repairs eyewear as needed. Additionally, Optician instructs customer on correct eyeglasses and contact lens care and maintenance. - Educate customers on lens options, frames, and lens enhancements
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Process orders and maintain accurate records of customer prescriptions
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or questions
Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail or optical setting preferred
- Knowledge of ophthalmology and physiology related to vision care
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Proficiency in optical equipment and tools
- Strong retail sales skills and ability to meet sales targets
- Experience with electronic medical record systems (Crystal) is a plus
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and operating laboratory equipment is beneficial
