Optician measures and fits contact lenses and eyeglass frames based on prescriptions written by ophthalmologists or optometrists. Takes precision measurements of eyes using a pupilometer and other devices to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses or contact lenses. Being an Optician assists and advises customers in selecting frames based on their prescription, lifestyle needs, and style preferences. Inspects lenses for quality, fits and adjusts eyewear, and repairs eyewear as needed. Additionally, Optician instructs customer on correct eyeglasses and contact lens care and maintenance. Wolf Eye Center has an exceptional, immediate opening for an experienced Optician. We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented people person to join our team.
We are a busy 6-physician group with 50 staff members, including 11 opticians. We are enthusiastically dedicated to a practice culture of attentive excellence for our patients.
This position will support the practice by assisting patients with selection of eyeglass frames and lenses, as well as fitting, adjusting, and repairing frames with a focus on exceptional customer service. Preference will be given to those who are ABO or LDO certified. This is a great career with room for advancement with a progressive, well-established practice.
