Ophthalmic Technician provides technical services to assigned ophthalmic patients and assists ophthalmologists or optometrists in the examination and treatment of eye disorders. Takes patient history, conducts visual acuity screenings, and performs various technical procedures, including refractometry, tonometry, lensometry, and keratometry. Being an Ophthalmic Technician prepares patients for exams and procedures. Operates, maintains, and sanitizes ophthalmic equipment and instruments. Additionally, Ophthalmic Technician may assist physicians in performing minor surgical and laser procedures. May dispense contact lenses. Typically requires an associate degree. May require Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA). May require Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT). Typically reports to a manager. Grounds maintenance company is now hiring an Irrigation Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspects, audits, adjusts, and repairs irrigation systems already in place
- Ensures irrigation systems are performing efficiently
- Conducts preventative maintenance
- Installs irrigation timers, piping, and valves
- Reads diagrams to layout and locate irrigation valves, timers, and wiring
- Performs systems start-ups and evaluations
- Works alongside the landscaping/maintenance crew
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Irrigation Technician
- Must have your own reliable transportation
- Must be able to legally work in the US
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must possess good knowledge in the operation and basic maintenance of different equipment such as commercial mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, and shrub trimmers
- Capable to lift up to 60 lbs
- Must be able to work outdoors in almost all types of weather conditions
- Must be dependable, detail oriented, punctual, and a team player
The irrigation tech must be able to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain client irrigation systems and work with the landscaping crew.
