Ophthalmic Technician jobs in Memphis, TN

Eye care practice is seeking enthusiastic and motivated ophthalmic assistants/technicians. We currently are looking for a full-time ophthalmic technician. Optometric or Ophthalmic experience is highly valued for this position. We are willing to train the right person with the right attitude who enjoys being part of a team-oriented practice.

We are looking for hard working individuals who are dependable, punctual, and have a passion for patient care.

Must have exceptional computer skills to be able to manage patient charts in electronic health record (EHR) systems for proper documentation and billing. Experience working with a medical or eye practice practice valuable, but not required. Our clinic has great hours, health insurance benefits, and 401K.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Obtain patient history to include chief complaint, medical history
• Ability to perform diagnostic testing, including retinal camera, retinal imaging, auto refraction, lensometry, topography, and visual fields.
• Computer proficiency skills are mandatory
• Assists eye care providers in the care of patients and flow
• Professionally assist physicians with electronic chart documentation, patient care and flow, and patient education
• Must have the ability to perform well in a fast paced high volume practice
• Train to transcribe information during clinical visits in real time into electronic health records (EHRs) under physician supervision
