Operations Unit Manager manages the daily activities of an operations unit. Responsible for planning and directing budgets, goals, and business objectives. Being an Operations Unit Manager requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent or in a related area. Typically reports to a senior manager. The Operations Unit Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Operations Unit Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We are seeking a full time Business Manager/Human Resource Manager to join our school community as of
July 1, 2024.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting; a Master’s degree in business
- Experience in an educational institution or a minimum of three years equivalent commercial experience
- Knowledge of school business management and accounting procedures.
- Effective skills in problem analysis, decision-making, communication and judgment.
- Effective organizational ability.
- Ability to apply technology to business practices and procedures. Strong computer background required.
- Self-motivated and disciplined.
- Ability to develop and implement innovative ideas.
- Strong sense of personal professional ethics.
- Experience in food service, transportation, maintenance and cleaning of facilities is desirable.
- Physically able to perform the duties as described.
- Valid DOE fingerprinting certification. (Maine Criminal History Records Check)
