Operations Supervisor supervises the daily activities of an operational unit. Monitors and assists staff to maintain workflow and achieve targeted operational and financial results. Being an Operations Supervisor implements practices to ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures. Resolves routine operational issues and escalates complex issues as needed. Additionally, Operations Supervisor prepares performance and progress reports for management to monitor and improve inefficiencies. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. SUMMARY: The Operations Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations including facilitation of internal communication between field staff and management, outside agency interface, system status monitoring, facilitating short-term scheduling needs, equipment and supply maintenance, as well as other operational support functions as assigned by the Operations Manager. Manage daily operations in 47,000 annual response division.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
* Ability to work independently and as a team member.
* Ability to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas.
* Regular and predictable attendance.
* Demonstrated organizational ability and personnel management skills.
* Extensive EMS field experience.
* Knowledge of AMR policies and procedures
* NREMT- Paramedic and Oregon State Certification or eligible for reciprocity
* Prefer prior experience as an EMS Supervisor
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Communicate corporate missions, vision, strategies and goals to non-supervisory staff.
* Provide performance feedback to subordinates through positive reinforcement and disciplinary process.
* Interface with allied health agencies and public service providers.
* Attend emergency medical service meetings and functions.
* Issue clarification memoranda to communicate corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
* Inspect ambulances and stations and ensure compliance with appearance/ inventory standards.
* Measure compliance with patient care and system status standards.
* Manage methods to ensure timely record keeping and submission of information and documentation to attain optimum invoice generation.
* Review daily response data and run necessary reports.
* Investigate complaints regarding clinical care and customer service, including interviewing personnel, contacting complaint, recommending resolution and ensuring all reports are filed.
* All other duties as assigned
