The Operations Support Supervisor (OSS) is a non-exempt position that reports to the Program Manager in Mobile, Alabama. The OSS is responsible to schedule, train, supervise, and review the work of the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) Dispatchers and the Security Administration office staff. The OSS shall be familiar with the operations of these teams and provide guidance as required. Unless otherwise directed, the OSS shall serve as the lead dispatcher and primary trainer within the PSOC and shall perform the most complex work of the team; additionally, the OSS is responsible to develop procedures and checklists to support these functions.
The OSS shall supervise the employees performance of assigned tasks and ensure compliance with provided guidance and regulation. The OSS will coordinate with the PM on all matters concerning the discipline and corrective actions of employees and has the authority to exercise these actions. They are responsible for performing duties related to the operation of the dispatch center and Security Admin teams; participate in performing the work of the team and perform the most complex work of the team including addressing technical issues and making operational decisions in coordination with supervisory and management staff. They will supervise employees operational performance of assigned systems and ensure compliance of those systems.
The primary duty schedule of the OSS is Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. but they must have the ability to be recalled if an emergency arises that requires their expertise.
