Operations Supervisor

Location: Corry Day Program

37.5 hours/week

The Operations Supervisor is an exempt position which serves to oversee operational aspects of the Intellectual Disabilities Services Corry Day Program, which provides approximately 25 individuals with a broad range of activities that promote community integration and employment. Management of this Community Participation Supports program includes supervision of direct support professionals and oversight of community access and facility activities.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to all related regulations and reporting requirements including those of the Dept. of Human Services Office of Developmental Programs, the Office of Long-Term Living Dept. of Aging, and Department of Labor
• Oversees all activities including community outings, activities of daily living, and leisure activities. Assures that activities align with the individual’s interests and goals
• Coordinates preparation for operational aspects of licensing inspections, internal audits, provider monitoring, etc.
• Ensures the health and safety of consumers to the maximum extent possible
• Coordinates and maintains effective working relationships with inter-agency support staff as well as other service agencies, parents, and the general public to further the goals and objective of the Barber National Institute and the individuals it serves
• Ensures that all forms of required documentation and accountability for service delivery are completed professionally, accurately and in a timely manner and maintained as required
• Directly supervises staff and coordinates training
• Completes and/or oversees scheduling and coordination of staff and client schedules
• Oversees the coordination of all transportation needs for assigned service location including documentation, reporting, inspections, and repairs

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma/GED required, 1 year experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities/autism, or in the field of intellectual disabilities/autism, preferred
  
• A Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities/autism preferred
  
• Supervisory/management experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
• FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements
• Experience supervising direct support professionals preferred
• Experience working with dual diagnosis preferred
