Specialist Job Summary
The Specialist is responsible for the execution of the compliance and reporting requirements defined in the Environmental Management System and all related and applicable directive, policies, and procedures in ASI. Maintain the document control systems including procedures, drawings, work instructions and labeling. Classified as material, recording, scheduling, and distributing clerks. This is a safety sensitive position.
Primary Duties
Monitor and maintain compliance records.
Become thoroughly familiar with all Company Q&E policies, procedures, and propose revisions as appropriate.
Routine environmental inspections of the facilities, identification of findings and implementation of preventive/corrective action plans.
Reporting and recording the daily, weekly, and monthly compliance activities performed by the other departments.
Assist in updating and maintaining EMS, Compliance Matrix and Macroplan.
Prepare documents, procedures, records, reports, etc. under as needed and instructed by the QE manger.
Oversee and schedule the site waste disposal and sign the related manifests.
Provides monitoring and reporting for environmental regulatory agencies.
Conduct regularly scheduled formal environmental audits.
Perform required tests check, e.g., emission weekly test, assist Q&E Manager on soil and water samples collection, etc.
Providing adequate training and instructions to the employees as directed by the QE manager, e.g., WEAP Training, etc.
Establishes and maintains a comprehensive filing system in accordance with ISO requirements, including ensuring that the latest versions of relevant documents (records, procedures, job descriptions, etc.) are available to users per ISO requirements and all documents meet quality standards in accordance with ISO control procedures.
Responsible to audit Benchmark (incident reporting) weekly and ensure that events are closed with proper documentation and root cause/corrective action(s).
Create necessary work notifications to address the environmental and compliance concerns.
Create necessary Purchase Requisitions instructed by the QE Manager.
Collect, maintain, and distribute documents necessary to maintain and operate a solar plant.

Quality and Environmental Specialist Prerequisites
High School Degree or equivalent, plus 2 years’ experience in records management preferred; or Associates Degree in a technical field related to engineering and drafting, plus 1 year records management experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of basic office equipment including personal computers, Microsoft Office, and SAP. Typing a minimum of 40 words per minute.

Ability to obtain California Hazardous Waste Management Certification.
