How You’ll Make an Impact
The Benefits and Leave Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of Valvoline’s leave of absence programs for the non-retail populations in the United States and Canada. This position is also responsible for implementation, communication, analytics and process improvement for the United States and Canada benefit plans (including health & welfare, retirement, and time off). In the role, you would be responsible for:
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
5 years of professional work experience in benefits, leave management, workers compensation and accommodation administration.
Knowledge of state, local and federal leave laws, disability programs, such as ADA and FMLA.
Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
High level of attention to detail. Ability to organize work, think independently, set priorities, manage multiple projects and lead with professionalism.
Ability to draft various communications drawing information from plan documents, contracts etc. Ability to draft new policies and procedures, and/or ability to modify existing policies and procedures.
Ability to develop relationships, collaborate and influence others to work effectively with a wide range of employees.
Ability to analyze complex information, define and problem solve.
What Will Set You Apart
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or other HR designation preferred.
HIPAA certification or training preferred.
