    Job Description:
    We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Operations Manager to oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. This role includes leading a team of manufacturing employees, which consists of both management and hands-on responsibilities. The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and optimization of all processes, including managing production schedules, hiring and training staff, managing budgets, ensuring product quality, and leading the execution of strategic initiatives.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
    • Develop and implement strategies aimed at promoting the organization’s mission and overall success.
    • Formulate and implement plant policies and procedures.
    • Lead the planning and execution of production schedules to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
    • Determine key metrics and establish systems for tracking productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
    • Manage plant budget and resources effectively, ensuring operations remain within financial parameters.
    • Oversee the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of plant personnel, ensuring adequate staffing levels and capabilities.
    • Ensure adherence to safety, legal, and company rules and regulations.
    • Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
    • Implement improvements and modifications to existing operations, systems, and procedures for improved efficiency and quality.
    • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and departments for the development and implementation of strategies and plans.
      
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a managerial role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the storm window and door industry.
    • Strong understanding of industry standards, safety standards, and operational optimization.
    • Proven track record in effectively leading and managing diverse teams.
    • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office and industry-specific software.
    • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
    • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational and personnel problems.
    • Commitment to driving continuous improvement and embracing industry advancements.
