  • Summary:

    The Warehouse Section Manager for the outbound section oversees and manages all aspects of shipping and logistics operations. This includes coordinating warehousing, optimizing shipping processes, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. They lead a team of shipping personnel, maintain effective communication with internal departments and external stakeholders, and monitor outbound orders for shipment via 3rd party freight carriers. They also manage the logistics of local deliveries made by company drivers to meet target delivery dates.


    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and optimize outbound shipping operations, including personnel management, to ensure efficient and effective processes.

    • Develop and implement procedures and policies to optimize delivery schedules, ensure timely and accurate shipments, and maintain inventory control.

    • Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate seamless coordination of shipping activities, order fulfillment, and warehouse layout optimization.

    • Maintain relationships with shipping carriers, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance for competitive pricing and reliable service.

    • Prepare shipping documentation, monitor shipment status, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

    • Implement quality control measures, promptly address shipping-related issues or customer complaints, and identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Ensure adherence to FIFO and FEFO principles, maintain accurate inventory records, and conduct audits and cycle counts.

    • Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) for pickups and outbound shipping orders.

    • Collaborate with the warehouse team to fulfill orders accurately, adhering to safety and quality standards.

    • Operate forklift and pallet jack to move inventory as needed.

    • Maintain a clean and organized outbound warehouse environment.

    • Train and mentor warehouse staff on outbound shipping procedures, inventory control, and best practices.

    • Generate reports on inventory levels, movements, transactions, and team performance.

    • Manage proper handling, storage, and disposal of expired or damaged products.

    • Identify process improvement opportunities and make recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


    Qualification:

    • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

    • 3 years of experience in shipping and logistics, with managerial or supervisory experience. Previous experience in KPI implementation is preferred.

    • Electric pallet Jack and Forklift certification is required.

    • Previous experience with ERP and WMS systems.

    • Proficient in Google Office Suite (Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.).

    • Proficient in reporting and analyzing information and data entry management.

    • Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and documentation requirements.

    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to propose new ways of creating efficiencies and streamlining processes.

    • Ability to prioritize and multitask workload in a fast-moving environment.

    • Bilingual in English/Chinese is Preferred

    • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.


    Physical Requirements:

    • This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.


    Working Conditions: 

    • This job is performed in an environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors associated with food production.

    Compensation:

    The pay range for this job is between $65,000 and $70,000 per year. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
