Operations Clerk provides clerical/administrative support to the operations group. Enters, compiles, and validates data using simple math as needed. Being a Operations Clerk performs clerical production activities such as proof, reconciliation, and posting. Prepares basic correspondence, forms and other documents as needed. Additionally, Operations Clerk may help research and resolve basic operational problems. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Operations Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     The Operations Clerk will report directly to the Operations Supervisor and provide various administrative support to the Dispatch department. The Operations Clerk is an hourly, non-exempt position and may require candidate to work after hours, weekends, and holiday when necessary to meet customer demands.

    Responsibilities:

    • Shuttling drivers and other duties assigned.
    • Enter exceptions codes into TMW that are noted on load sheets and/or Delivery Receipts.
    • Assist drivers with load changes.
    • Print paperwork.
    • Scan documents into synergize.
    • Assist with dealer inquiries, customer inquiries and answer phones.
    • Support Dispatchers, Operations Supervisor and Terminal Manager with duties as assigned.
    • Uphold the company’s core values of Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Excellence and Safety.

    Qualifications:

    • Highly organized and ability to multi-task.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge in Excel software preferred.
    • Ability to work in a high paced environment.
