Operations Clerk provides clerical/administrative support to the operations group. Enters, compiles, and validates data using simple math as needed. Being a Operations Clerk performs clerical production activities such as proof, reconciliation, and posting. Prepares basic correspondence, forms and other documents as needed. Additionally, Operations Clerk may help research and resolve basic operational problems. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Operations Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Overview:
Provides clerical support to the staff of the Office of the Hillsborough County Attorney, thereby assisting its goal of reaching dispositions that are fair and just.
General Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the County and the Office Manager, the incumbent will answer incoming calls and will receive visitors to the office of the Hillsborough County Attorney. They will open, sort and distribute incoming mail and enter all necessary information into the computer. The incumbent is responsible for preparing the monthly jury list and will conduct criminal and motor vehicle record checks.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma with a minimum of two years’ experience as an office assistant or such other experience as the County Attorney finds to be equivalent
· Must possess a valid driver’s license with reliable and available means of transportation as some traveling may be requested
· Must possess exceptional typing, organization and communications skills
