Additionally, Operations Clerk may help research and resolve basic operational problems. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Operations Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Duties include:- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders
- Unload, inspect, and put away received materials in designated storage areas- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation- Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, order pickers, RF scanners, and pallet jacks
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) and AS400 to track inventory movements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:- Three (3) years of experience in logistics/warehouse operations and administrative support services.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, order pickers, RF scanners, and pallet jacks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory management- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in receiving and shipping processes
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain inventory control in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of distribution center operations and best practices for shipping and receiving
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
