    What You Will Be Doing:
    This position will be responsible for implementing and administering enterprise services and components, using and leveraging a combination of application service systems, including but not limited to relational database systems, version control, operating systems, system integration, and other enterprise class technologies.
    Successful candidates will:
    • Deploy, configure, maintain, custom and/or off-the-shelf enterprise components and services associated with their assigned system(s).
    • Oversee and administer enterprise services for the department including Azure Services, Microsoft SQL Services, Power BI, Microsoft Reporting Services, Azure DevOps, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Internet Information Server, Microsoft Active Directory/Entra ID as well as other assigned duties.
    • Support developers/development teams with application design, environment setup, and publishing.
    • Design and maintain software applications. Identify database, software, and/or application requirements, and help identify technology to meet business use cases.

    Business Applications delivers services to 42 statewide sites, with a portfolio of approximately 76 applications.     • Hardware: Knowledge of specifications, uses, and types of computer or computer-related equipment.

    • Infrastructure Design: Knowledge of the architecture and typology of software, hardware, and networks, including LANS, WANS, and telecommunications systems, their components and associated protocols and standards, and how they operate and integrate with one another and with associated controlling software.

    • Operating Systems: Knowledge of computer network, desktop, and mainframe operating systems and their applications.

    • Systems Integration: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures for installing, integrating, and optimizing information systems components.

    Equivalent to those typically gained by:

    Training in computer science, information technology, or system administration – or a similar field or professional experience – that provided knowledge of systems, networking software, hardware, protocols, and scripting/automation tools.

    Special Note:
    “Competencies” means a combination of interrelated knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors that enable a person to act effectively in a job or situation.

    “Typically gained by” means the prevalent, usual method of gaining the competencies expected for entry into the job.
