Job Summary: The Scheduler coordinates, records, and transmits information pertinent to the scheduling of patients undergoing surgical interventions or special procedures. Serves as primary liaison to disseminate essential information among physicians, physician office staff, nursing personnel, and ancillary departments; utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize excellence in customer service and professionalism. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum two years experience in surgery scheduling preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft software and medical terminology preferred. Able to: read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; operate and troubleshoot basic patient care equipment; perform technical patient care activities.
