Online Pharmacist compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs per physician's instructions for online or mail order subscription orders. Manages a high volume of prescriptions. Being an Online Pharmacist does not typically interact with customers. May supervise technicians and oversee operational activities including data entry, order fulfillment, and shipping. Additionally, Online Pharmacist requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Pharmacist to fill an opening with a well-know and highly rated Closed-Door Specialty Pharmacy in North Little Rock, AR!
Daily Responsibilities for the Pharmacist:- Evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration. Makes recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and facility staff as appropriate
- Maintains patient/resident database to include appropriate current and past medical history, appropriate clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication (including over the counter and home remedies)
- Ensures that appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring certain high-risk conditions are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with appropriate members of the healthcare team
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support as needed
- Documents all communication with physicians, nurses, other members of the healthcare team and patients/residents and their family members in the medical record
- Shift: Monday – Friday; 8:30am to 5:00pm
Required Qualifications for the Pharmacist:- Must be a licensed Pharmacist in the state of Arkansas
