Being an Online Pharmacist does not typically interact with customers. May supervise technicians and oversee operational activities including data entry, order fulfillment, and shipping. Additionally, Online Pharmacist requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Review every medication order and dosage for completeness, safety and efficacy prior to dispensing to an individual patient including routine, stat and investigational orders. Maintain drug information, investigational, educational, cost containment and clinical programs.
Hospital pharmacy experience (or clinically relevant experience) or graduate of a Doctor of Pharmacy Program required.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from accredited School of Pharmacy.
New Jersey Pharmacy license (or eligible for licensure).
