Oncology Services Director jobs in Arizona
Oncology Services Director plans and directs all aspects of an organization's oncology services policies, standards, and programs. Responsible for strategic clinical relationships with physicians and interns. Being an Oncology Services Director ensures oncology clinical programs are in compliance with all applicable regulations. Researches and studies current medical publications and data on new treatments and practices to ensure high quality clinical service offerings. Additionally, Oncology Services Director advises non-medical management on clinical and patient related matters and policies. Requires a MD. Typically reports to top management. The Oncology Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Oncology Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Responsibilities:
In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by:
- Greet patients and visitors to the clinic in a prompt, courteous and professional manner; check in patients and inform clinical staff of patient arrival.
- Provide and explain paperwork for the patient to complete prior to examination; collect, proof for completeness, and file patient forms; update demographics and insurance information in the system; collect co-pays and balances.
- Answer, screen, and respond to routine questions.
- Complete patient check-in and out process after examination; schedule returning appointments in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines.
- Record patient cancellations and missed appointments; reschedule appointments; notify appropriate staff of the cancellation and make note in patient chart.
- Provide general administrative support.
This position allows for all levels of experience.
Minimum Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel required.

The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Masks may be requested in all Arizona Oncology facilities regardless of vaccination status. COVID vaccination is recommended.
