Oilwell Pumper is responsible for daily upkeep and maintenance of oil wells. Operates oil production and injection equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. Being an Oilwell Pumper reports and interprets metrics such as volume and pressure of gas and oil within the well. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Additionally, Oilwell Pumper requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Oilwell Pumper works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Qualifications
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Successful completion and passing of company drug screen, background check and fit test
• Must be willing and able to work in a field environment in all weather conditions
• Requires ability for sitting, standing, walking, lifting heavy materials, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs & ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, repeated bends, crawling, reaching high and low
• This is a physically demanding position
• Must be willing and able to work as needed on a 24/7 basis; Travel to field required daily
Responsibilities
• The position requires operation with heavy equipment they are qualified to operate such as Excavator (Trackhoe), Dozer, Blade, Loader, etc
• This position requires the ability to work in all types of inclement and extreme weather conditions
• Perform facility pipeline installations
• Secure and safely transport equipment according to DOT regulations
• Install and make repairs to pipelines/flowlines
• Perform general cleanup duties on well site locations
• Operate heavy equipment efficiently, effectively and safely
• Assemble or repair equipment using hand and power tools
• Work and commit to a company-wide culture that ensures that Safety is everybody’s responsibility
