Oil and Gas Superintendent oversees daily oil and gas operations activities at multiple facilities. Supervises and directs employees involved in production, drilling, maintenance, and/or construction through foreman and other lead staff. Being an Oil and Gas Superintendent requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Oil and Gas Superintendent manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and systems
- Install, assemble, and disassemble equipment as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects and tasks in a timely manner
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Rhode Island Trade licensing for scope of work
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of refrigeration, plumbing, mechanics
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
