Position Description:

The field supervisor plans and organizes the delivery and application of our material for the Land Application Program. An individual in this role is responsible for the service, maintenance and supervision of the land application employees and equipment.

Primary Job Duties:

• Communicate with the Project Manager any concerns or issues that may affect the field operations
• Meet with farmers, verify fields and application rates, and schedule land application of material to be hauled and spread
• Ensure that all spreaders, loaders and trucks are properly serviced and in good repair and that all spreader equipment is properly calibrated for the correct field application rate
• Monitor daily production and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that all material is spread
• Ensure the correct number of loads are delivered and spread on each field and at the correct application rate for that field
• Maintain a working relationship with farmers and stay apprised of any issues that may arise after materials are applied to the fields
• Keep records – daily completed field reports (CFR), loads hauled and spread, timekeeping for field crew, service of equipment and trucks
• Maintain adequate parts and supplies on hand for equipment repairs and service
