Implements procedures and policies for all administrative activities. Being an Office Services Supervisor typically manages record-keeping, document preparation, mail distribution, reception, bill or invoice processing, maintenance services, technical support, project coordination/scheduling, and other related internal operations. Oversees the selection of vendors and the purchase of office equipment and supplies. Additionally, Office Services Supervisor coordinates resources to troubleshoot, determine the best solutions, and solve problems. Tracks and analyzes operational costs and monitors budget. Recruits, trains, and coaches office staff to achieve optimal performance. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager.     Performs a wide range of supervisory and managerial responsibilities including, conducting human capital management such as staffing and recruitment (developing position descriptions and managing all aspects of hiring actions); determining work objectives, priorities, and assigning tasks; evaluating performance; employee development; rewarding and training employees; approving leave and overtime; resolves complaints; and managing employee conduct.

    Qualifications

    At the GS-14 level, you must meet the following qualification:

    One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to experience in researching, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting broad guidance and regulations to formulate and implement program guidance in the administration and management of Administrative Programs including Personal Property and/or Fleet Management Services. In addition, specialized experience also includes supervising staff and performing related human resources activities; managing a budget and expenditures; and managing assets in an a complex asset management database.
