Job Responsibilities:
Rooming patients to prepare for the provider.
Performs laboratory tests, EKGs, suture/staple removals, dressing changes among other patient care procedures.
Taking vitals, performing diagnostic tests, injections, draw blood for labs.
Collect and chart vitals, patient history, and other screening.
Authorize prescription refills.
Instruct patients regarding medications and diet.
Communicate unexpected wait times to patients.
Provides assistance to patient and other contacting the clinic by telephone; may provide direct assistance or take messages and direct calls to the appropriate party.
Verifies pharmacy information and other clinical information related to a patient’s visit.
