Responsible for analyzing data across a number of verticals, including marketing / market research, enterprise and Lowe's functions. Helps build a competitive advantage by providing accurate and timely information based on big data that is used to improve decision making, identify inefficient business processes, drive cost savings and identify new business opportunities. Works closely with and provides insight to Lowe's business leaders by providing predictive analysis, data visualization, contextual visualization and insights. Also responsible for analyzing customer and consumer behavior data, which will inform the business on trends across all consumer markets. Builds a competitive advantage by providing accurate and timely information based on consumer data that is used identify new business opportunities, new products, and new strategies. Includes technical marketing positions that direct marketing strategy on product positioning, market penetration and pricing.
What you will do
Partners with key business partners such as in marketing, customer experience, product teams, and .com teams on most strategic Lowe's initiatives, translating business needs into research plans, so the customer is at the center of decision making.
Appropriately manages the work assignments of analysts and senior analysts on team, coaching them as appropriate. In partnership with the Customer Insights Director, assesses and builds out training plans for the team within their pillar, customized to address skills gaps in methodologies, analytics/statistics, communication for impact, etc.
Exercises a great deal of autonomy in customer insights problem solving and work delegation for the fulfillment of the work necessary for the completion of project requirements.
Designs, executes, and summarizes research, taking insights, analytics, customer frameworks, and models to drive impact and action behind those insights. Uses advanced research statistics for in-depth data analysis and customer models and summarizes key insights from the analytics.
Leading a team of 3 direct reports and 1 vendor partners/resources, cultivating a high-performance culture of strong analytics, agility, and business building.
Ensures research output is high quality, free from errors and that findings/output are grounded in research science but communicated in a way that is simple and highly actionable for business partners.
Integrates insights from multiple projects into more strategic insights to grow the Lowe’s business. Shares business recommendations with VPs, SVPs. Serves as direct business link to answer key questions.
Integrates knowledge across the Customer Insights & Business Intelligence team to bring relevant insights to DACI and the whole of the Lowe's business, especially in key forums with leadership, to highlight the state of the Lowe's customer.
Partner with suppliers to bring in best-in-class research techniques.
Manages $5 million research budget in the most effective manner, while addressing the key needs of the business.
In partnership with the Director, serves as external face of Lowe's customer knowledge at key conferences and recruiting events.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Statistics, Econometrics, Information Sciences, Applied Quantitative or related field 5 years experience working with analytic software (e.g., SPSS, Wincross, etc.) and Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience with an assortment of share data providers (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, NPD, InfoScout, etc.)
3 years experience leading teams and/or coaching individuals
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years experience with quantitative market research
