    As a Technical Sales Representative you will use your engineering/technical background to find new business and develop lasting relationships, foster great service with our existing customers, and help our NEFF team continue to grow. As a NEFF Technical Sales Representative, you will have the following responsibilities:
    • Responsibility to proactively seek and develop new business within assigned territory.
    • Actively calling on existing customers to foster growth and opportunity.
    • Identify and target potential clients within the assigned territory with a focus on engineers and C-suite executives through research, cold calls, networking, and other creative methods to uncover new sales opportunities.
    • Developing a thorough understanding of customers’ business goals and objectives, operating systems and manufacturing processes.
    • Develop and execute strategies to generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, emphasizing our ability to solve complex problems with high-value products.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers: making initial contact, introducing NEFF’s product lines, and developing a rapport to identify customer needs.
    • Developing and maintaining a Customer Contact and Activity Database for assigned accounts.
    • Monitoring Sales Activity Reports, projecting annual sales goals, preparing territorial sales forecasts and verifying that sales activity supports the forecast and projected sales.
    • Reviewing customer activities at least quarterly with Team Leader or Sales Manager and strategizing ways to maximize sales volumes or grow territory.
    SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
    • Factory automation experience required.
    • Technical sales experience highly desired with a proven track record of successful sales experience as a hunter sales role with a focus on selling to engineers and the C-suite.
    • Ability to aggressively prospect new business through cold calls and leads.
    • Strong customer focus with the ability to initiate, develop, and maintain relationships.
    • Ability to influence others based on facts, return of investment, problem solving, and a strong closing capability.
    • Proven experience in selling to potential customers, not only on features and benefits, but by connecting the specific needs, challenges, and goals of the customer to a tailored solution to meet their desired outcome.
    • Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline progress, and achievements to the sales management team.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to exceed sales targets.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and negotiation skills.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    • A relevant bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, with robotics and/or sales engineering required.
    • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a relevant associate degree in a related technical field with strong, demonstrated mechanical/technical aptitude and 3-5 years of technical sales experience.
