Job Title: Automation Technician
Pay Rate: $33/hour base pay, potential for more based on experience
Location: Walesboro, IN
Job Duties:- Suggests/aids in manufacturing equipment purchase proposals by studying manufacturing plans for automation.
- Assists engineers in acquisition of new equipment by evaluating equipment capabilities and service history; evaluating vendor service and support.
- Assists in equipment cost projections by analyzing investment, return, and savings.
- Completes equipment installations and programming sequences by working with others to complete task.
- Builds, installs, and troubleshoots control panels, interconnection wiring, and programs.
- Performs necessary preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Meets production requirements by automating equipment as needed.
- Prepares equipment operators; trains production operators, supervisors, and other maintenance persons in use and set up of automation cell.
- Maintains process integrity by being a resource for updating documents such as LOTO, policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
- Assists in the maintenance of equipment records by filing documents and updating equipment database.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:- Experience with building and maintaining automated machinery.
