Off-the-Road Tire Technician jobs in Missouri
Off-the-Road Tire Technician performs tire and tire-related services for OTR (and smaller) tires at the customer's location, job site, or any other location according to customer requirements. Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs OTR or other tires and wheels as directed. Being an Off-the-Road Tire Technician organizes the work site, the vehicles and the appropriate tools and equipment for optimum job efficiency and safety. Follows established procedures to inspect tires, wheels and vehicles before and after service, and notes other needed services; makes recommendations to customer. Additionally, Off-the-Road Tire Technician typically requires an associate degree or equivalent, and appropriate TIA/MSHA certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Off-the-Road Tire Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Our Off-the-Road Tire Service Technicians are known for their blue-collar grit, and this is an opportunity for you to consider becoming part of the team. In this role you will be responsible for performing outside tire service to OTR, heavy duty vehicles (i.e., Quarry Work and Large Construction Vehicles). Job Responsibilities:
- Rack and hoist vehicles for inspection using company vehicle
- Perform onsite service and repairs (tire installation and repair) at customers location
- Responsible for safe operation of company vehicles including compliance with speed and traffic regulations
- Fleet inspections
- Maintain clean work environment and equipment
- Participates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties and company policies
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid CDL Class B/A and ability to pass pre-employment driver’s file
- Must possess or have ability to obtain MSHA certification
- Experience with OTR/ heavy duty/ commercial tires
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift, pull or push tires weighing between 30-250 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance
- Ability to safely change and repair commercial tires in all weather conditions.
