What you will be doing:

Magnaflow is looking for an Off Road Suspension Technician who will be responsible for the installations of off-road suspension components on automotive vehicles. They will also diagnose and repair any issues on vehicles as well as perform pre-installation vehicle inspections. The install technician will also be responsible for keeping accurate logs to document the work and any issues that may arise.

• Installation off-road suspension components on automotive vehicles
• Performing routine maintenance, replacing relevant wear components
• Wiring electrical vehicle accessories (Lights, race radios, switch panels, etc.)
• Diagnose and repair issues on vehicles
• Reading and reviewing work orders to ensure the correct parts are listed for each job
• Maintaining equipment and a cleanly workspace environment
• Keeping accurate logs to document work and issues
• Conducting pre-installation vehicle inspections
• Assist in providing accurate estimates (cost, time, labor) for customer installations
• Adequately explain technical diagnoses and repair solutions to non-mechanically inclined individuals which may include employees or customers.
• Self-motivated individual who can work well independently
• Team player who can work closely with other team members on larger projects

What you need:

• Must have 3 years of experience install off-road suspension components
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of vehicles
• Must be capable of a combination of standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting for entire working shift while on the job
• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs without assistance
• Must work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries and report any potential hazards
• Must have a valid automobile driver’s license at all times
• High School diploma or GED

Desired qualifications:

• Fabrication and welding experience is a plus
