Occupational Therapy Supervisor jobs in Michigan
Occupational Therapy Supervisor supervises the delivery of occupational therapy programs that help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities. Provides guidance and monitors the performance of the occupational therapy staff. Being an Occupational Therapy Supervisor studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress. May require a master's degree. Additionally, Occupational Therapy Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Occupational Therapist certification. The Occupational Therapy Supervisor supervises a group of professional level staff. May also be a level above a supervisor. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be an Occupational Therapy Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Qualifications:
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the State of Michigan
- B.S. or M.S. in Occupational Therapy from school accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (Only an Associate’s degree is required for a COTA)
- Valid Driver’s License
- People Skills – Communication, teamwork
- Work ethic- Adaptability/flexibility, personal responsibility
- Critical thinking - Problem-solving, creative, critical observation
