Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' motor skills and functional abilities
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Minimum of 1 full year working in early intervention
- Preferred prior experience working in feeding difficulties
- Strong knowledge of pediatric development
- Ability to work effectively with patients ages 0-3
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
