Provides guidance and monitors the performance of the occupational therapy staff. Being an Occupational Therapy Supervisor studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress. May require a master's degree. Additionally, Occupational Therapy Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Occupational Therapist certification. The Occupational Therapy Supervisor supervises a group of professional level staff. May also be a level above a supervisor. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. At the direction and control of the Director of Therapy Services, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing specific treatment programs for patients with physical and mental disabilities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy and licensed in the State of Arkansas as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience: Two to Four years clinical experience desired.
