    Job Description: We are currently seeking a Part-Time Temporary School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide maternity leave coverage. As a School-Based Occupational Therapist with Developmental Therapy Associates, you will have the opportunity to work directly with students in educational settings to support their developmental needs and promote their participation in school activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' sensory processing, fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living within the school environment.
    • Develop individualized intervention plans and treatment goals based on assessment findings and student needs.
    • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions, to address skill development, functional independence, and environmental modifications.
    • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to implement therapeutic strategies and integrate them into the educational setting.
    • Offer consultation and support to school personnel regarding sensory regulation, motor skill development, assistive technology, and environmental adaptations.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, progress notes, and communication with stakeholders in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
    • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school or educational setting.
    • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices related to occupational therapy services in schools.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with school personnel, students, and families.
    • Commitment to providing evidence-based interventions and promoting inclusive practices to support student success.

    Duration: The position is slated to begin on June 3, 2024, covering maternity leave for the remainder of the current school year and continuing through November of the 2024-2025 school year. However, there is potential for an earlier start date based on the availability of the selected candidate and the needs of the school districts.

    Schedule: Part-time position, 25 hours per week.
