Occupational Therapy Director directs the programs and staff of the occupational therapy department. Sets and implements guidelines for occupational therapy programs. Being an Occupational Therapy Director monitors patient progress and treatment plans. May require an advanced degree. Additionally, Occupational Therapy Director typically reports to top management. The Occupational Therapy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Occupational Therapy Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Hours: We have ~8 hours available every week for PRN. This can be spread out among any number of weekdays, treatment is provided between the hours of 8 AM and 7 PM
Wages: We are able to offer a range of $30-$33/hour depending on experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Requirements:
- Current Utah - (Certified) Occupational Therapy Assistance (OTA/COTA) license in good standing
- Learn and implement local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care
Job Duties
- Occasionally treat clinically complex patients
- Provide competent care for geriatric patients
- Provide adaptive ADL-retraining
- Learn documentation process and maintain productivity standards
- Effectively communicate with other team members and patients
