Job Summary:
The Director of Rehabilitation Services will plan, administer, and direct operation of rehabilitation programs such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Responsible for the overall success of their assigned program/s. They will report directly to Regional Director of Therapy.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily workflow of the Rehab Department.
As a facility department head, will actively participate within the interdisciplinary team (IDT)
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Carries a clinical caseload
Provide direction and leadership to all therapy staff
Ensures program compliance through review for accurate billing, documentation, and support to therapy staff.
Responsible for maintaining optimal staffing mix. Including recruitment, orientation, development, retention, scheduling, and employee engagement of therapy staff.
Clinical management of therapy department through patient identification, case management, care planning, and clinical utilization.
Collaborate with facility leadership to drive clinical excellence and supportive facility culture
Ensures rehabilitation staff is providing appropriate care to Resident in keeping with established standards for quality and in accordance with generally established principles of care.
Supervises the scheduling of residents for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan of care.
Manages the evaluation and development of in-house therapy programs including equipment assessment and staffing ratios.
Completes required forms and documents timely, in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The Occupational Therapy Assistant will help occupational therapists provide occupational therapy treatments and procedures.
