Occupational Therapist plans and conducts individualized occupational therapy programs to help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities. Teaches patients skills/techniques and how to use adaptive equipment for participating in activities. Being an Occupational Therapist studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress. May require a master's degree. Additionally, Occupational Therapist typically reports to a manager. Typically requires Occupational Therapist certification. Occupational Therapist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     As an occupational therapist, you'll help individuals with the skills needed for life's daily activities. Working in a hospital, home health, nursing facility, rehab center, school or healthcare environment, you'll review medical histories, develop and implement occupational therapy treatment plans, recommend equipment, monitor patient progress and more. You'll play a critical role in helping patients who are ill, injured or disabled regain quality of life.

    Minimum Requirements

    • At least 1 year of recent experience in relevant setting and specialty
    • Degree in relevant field
    • BLS Certification (AHA)
    • Current state license
